Air Video Server 2.2.6 update 1 released

I'm pleased to announce that new Air Video Server version is available.

You can download it for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.

Improvements since last release:
* Better iTunes support. Adding playlists should work now with iTunes 9.1 and iTunes launch is no longer required during browsing.
* Workaround for Bonjour update warning
* Fixed Muxer on Windows, iTunes should no longer think that converted videos are twice as long as originals
* Update 1: Better handling of DRM protected videos

I'm guessing I should probably upgrade my beta to the the latest build, eh? When's the next beta coming?

Any chance we can see a changelog? Especially for the beta versions, that would be helpful. I know they're a PITA to put together, but they're quite useful. Unless you have a Bug Tracker setup (I like to point out the DD-WRT bug tracker powered by Mantis, which is a free software bug tracker program; the DD-WRT is a great example of this implementation. It also provides some great technical reading.

Darn it, this was v2.26 this morning, now it's already 2.26 Update 1! LOL

What changed?

Update 1: Better handling of DRM protected videos
Meaning the server will return error when trying to convert or play with live conversion DRM protected video.

Can I suggest a feature? Something I find a pain is having to choose videos for offline conversion via ipad / iphone / ipod touch, etc.

It would be a very useful and super sweet feature to be able to drag and drop movies onto the cash via the server app, bypassing the portable devices altogether. Adding movies 1 at a time via WiFi get's tedious when you have as much video to stream as I do.

Please consider this, I think many would agree this would rock big time!

Awesome Air Video is now working for me again after being broken and not even being able to see the server after upgrading to Iphone os4. Currently on OS4 beta 3 on a 3Gs.

Only thing is it wont do live conversion as it states firmware 3.0 and newer...

Keep up the good work though. You have a premium product!

Everything about this app is SOOO awesome. not to mention it is the only app so far that was not a nightmare with my router. I have been searching everywhere for an app that streams my MUSIC as well as my MOVIES. To date none of the music ones have worked for me, but this MOVIE app works great! Any chance I can persuade you to add the ability to listen to your music as well as the movies success you already have going for you? PLEASE PLEASE?!? That would be SO awesome!!!
