Are you trying to connect from internet or local network? Do you have remote support enabled? If so please send me the remote support log (available in logs tab) as Private Message.

Just wanted to add to this thread, I'm having this same issue with the free version. I'm able to connect almost instantly when my phone is on a wifi connection, but over 3g it gives me the unable to connect message. Yes I have disabled the wifi check over 3g.
EDIT: I just realized that 3g wasn't working at all for me at the time, damn ATT. I just had to throw my phone into airplane mode, then back, to get a new connection. I'm happy to say it connected this time.

It looks like network configuration problems. Do you have firewall enabled on your iMac? Is your iPhone connected to same network as your iMac?

Yes, it's the same network. I'll check about firewalls...

Also if you are using server pin to connect to server make sure that "Automatic Port Mapping" checkbox is disabled.

That would indicate either a firewall blocking the communication or a routing problem.
If you navigate to http://localhost:45631 on the computer that is running Air Video Server what response do you get?

If connection over 3G works but over local network doesn't it definitely is problem in your network. For some reason your iPhone is not able to connect to your computer.

The log looks okay. Have you tried restarting your router? Also shut down and start Air Video Server again to see if it helps. If none of these helps can you quit Air Video Server, start it again and after it's done trying to map port send me the log again?
