I worked for a day, and then said there were no UPnP devices found. I tried to install the 2.4.3 and its now saying the same thing. It worked on every version so far up until I installed the beta, now it won't work over 3G

This can sometimes happen with UPnP, the discovery is not very reliable. Have you tried restarting the router?

scoriae wrote:Greetings,

Just wanted to start off by saying its a great product you have!

As of the update, I am unable to play certain .mkv files. I do not know how to find the necessary detailed information, but heres a couple snippets from the server log (Beta-4 of 2.4.5)

Live Conversion
2011-03-07 15:27:54 SegmentedEncoder: Resampling with input channels greater than 2 unsupported.
2011-03-07 15:27:54 SegmentedEncoder: Can not resample 6 channels @ 48000 Hz to 2 channels @ 48000 Hz

Last Line for 'Queued for Offline Conversion'
2011-03-07 15:24:24 Conversion: Resulting file is smaller than 1KB - something went wrong. Deleting.
(Not really any detail in this one but meh.)

Downgraded to 2.4.3, 0 issues on the exact same files.

That said, for the files that would play, its much faster than before

Is there any way I can provide more information to help? The mkv files in question are 1GB, approximately. Audio is in FLAC, I think... if that makes any difference?

Edit for additional info: All files are on local drives.

This is problem with the FFmpeg build, are you using OS X or Windows version?

I'll repeat my iTunes review here (no worries, I gave it 5 stars!):

WTV support makes this app drop dead gorgeous. Now I can stream my WIndows Media Center records from wherever I am! Plus, iPad streaming gives me true HD content without having to pay for it again on iTunes!

One thing I'd like to see in future versions is more TV meta-data support. All of my TV shows are just in a "Recorded TV" folder right now, but I'd like the app to show folders based on the metadata stored in the .wtv files. Heck, even cooler would be to get TV meta-data from TheTVDB.com so you can show some of that info before hitting play. It would also get rid of some of those cryptic and not so useful file names like "30 Rock_KPRCDT_2010_09_30_19_30_01.wtv" and instead have 30 Rock, Season 5, Episode 2 and "Liz Lemon does something silly again".

Regardless, great app and hope it improves in the future!

Also, I'm streaming an HD 1080i video to my iPad and converting it with a max res of 1024x768. How can I tell if I'm being CPU-limited in my encodes? It keeps up just enough to almost stream in real-time locally but it has some pausing here and there. I'm running on a 2.5Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2GB of RAM (It's an HP MediaSmart EX495). Thanks again!

Just installed this beta 4 Server as well as the updated iOS app released today. Everything works EXCEPT AirPlay. Get a message that I cannot play this video on Apple TV.

Linux version should be released soon - when the beta gets little bit more stable.

AirPlay for 3rd party apps requires 4.3 firmware on your AppleTV which won't be released until Friday.

I'm not sure I get how the AirPlay feature is supposed to work. Do you need an Apple TV or is it supposed to work with any iOS device running 4.2.1 and above?
