You mention that ffmpeg can already stream UDP streams, so I take it I don't need to do the VLC server mod ? I've done the original FFMPEG mod and it works fine with my Dreambox using zap commands but now I also want to stream from my Azbox which presents a UDP stream ( I don't need channel changing ) so I have edited the channels.ini to select this stream with the line

001-Azbox-Stream.mp4
udp://@192.168.1.10/web/zap?sRef=1:0:1:2742:402:1:c00000:0:0:0: ( this is a fake zap as advised to use )
udp://@192.168.1.10:9000

Unfortunately nothing streams to my iphone...any ideas ?

I don't know AZbox, but I bet the zap links are http links. Even if zapping is irrelevant then make the zap link like http://this.is.a.fake.zap.link.com or so.
You better use my VLC mod. I don't think ffmpeg will swallow the udp/rtp input streams.

Sounds like a good idea. How difficult would it be to port this to the linux executable?

I have ported this to linux long time ago. You find the modpack for all platforms here: http://www.i-have-a-dreambox.com/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=127338

I have wrestled with this some time now I finaly I can watch my TV channels on my iPhone. At first I tried to install this modpack on my homeserver but it turned out to have a slow CPU so the stream were cut in a couple of seconds.

When I installed this on my Mac i ran like a charm, great mod to a superb app.

Hi folks,

I have a Vu Duo and I'm told streaming to my iPhone using AirVideo works well.

The problem is my VuDuo has a password set and the stream won't open!
I have read that you can include the username and password in the channel.ini file but I don't know the format..

Any ideas?

Hi folks,

I got it sorted..

To construct your URL including a username and password:

Hope this helps others!

Is there already a modpack for the new 2.4.5 beta 6? Compiling ffmpeg for 2.4.5 beta 6 with the sourcecode pack avail from this site does not work with live streaming.

Any suggestions?

For ATSC TV streaming, there is an app called Telly works well
But ATSC is for U.S. only....
