I've read quite a few password protected folder threads.. I agree its absolutely needed. perhaps more than the developers feel its needed. One request i'd like that hopefully could be a solution to both is to have a show / hide folder list, that is accessed via a password.
I have all my movies in a root folder and they are organized by type. IE:
Action
Drama
Horror
Kids
Documentary
etc.
I pass my ipad around as well. I went to check on my kids and they were going through the horror folder trying to watch saw 5. I had to basically remove all the folders and just run a server called kids. period. Locking and unlocking folders with one password might be a easier solution and easier to program.
Just have all the folders you don't want to display be default in a list and have a lock icon. You press the lock icon, password prompt, and then up pops all the new folders that were previously hidden.
Sounds like it would be pretty easy to implement. Then all the parents could rest easy their ipads could be accessed by the kids, without a need for a password to connect to the server, they could watch all the dora the explorer they wanted, and then when mommy and daddy want to watch a action movie we can enter the password and open up access to all the remaining folders.

This needs to go to the top of the feature list.

A big PUSH for this feature as well. Still I can't believe how great this app works! I've spent more money on games that I hoped would be good and lost out on. Best $2.99 I have ever spent for my iPad, thank you!!

Ditto for me. I went to this forum specifically to find out if this option was available. It should be tops on the list. And, as garnold says, this app is fantastic. Thanks!

Yea the feature would be kinda nice cuz my 10 year old sister went through my anime collection and happened to watch an anime showing a girl ripping people's heads off or eating people.
