Have you considered or do you have planned a CPU % or core usage limit for video converting? I convert everything through AirVideo currently before adding it to Plex but it slows down watching videos when I am converting for offline.
Also, will 1080p be available for offline conversion in the future release?

Somehow Air Video Server works better on windows than os x.
All videos freezes after a min or so when using OS X and on Windows 8 there is no problems.
Using bootcamp on my imac, so it is the same hardware.

This post was incorrectly posted in the wrong thread.
Placing in correct thread:
------------
Given the amount of time since the last update, I honestly wouldn't hold my breath for a new release... I'm not saying never, but let's not kid ourselves... It's been almost 1 year now.
I hope the author sees that the community has been very patient, it's reached a point where too much longer of a wait, or a miss-step in the 'handling' of the next release will result in people not coming back.
(personal feeling/rant: After 1 year, I assume that the code is in good enough shape to post an executable for... At least in 'beta' form... It's not like the current version is 'non-beta').

why would a newer version break compatibilty with certain media types?
i first downloaded the 2.4.6 beta 3 server but it wasn't able to play xvid files...it said "invalid video file" or something like that.
So I gave some older betas a shot and same thing..error messages until I tried 2.4.3 which works fine. NOw this thing is like 3 years old or something crazy like that...why the fudge is what's on my mind at the moment.

It shouldn't. You can put one of those files to separate folder, browse it, and then copy the thumbnail generation log and paste it to email and send it to support (at) inmethod.com, so that I can take a look.

If cover in media too big (2400x2400) - program say "invalid media" and don't convert (but play without convert).

hello,
i have a problem with version 2.4.6-beta3.
my problem is i have a dlink dns-323 nas and i will from the air-video server streaming the videos.
When i use the Admin Account is work fine, but logoff the user the air-video server have not access to my nas.
the user "system" from my windows server has not read and write rights on the dns-323.
my workaround is the Admin User not logoff but this is not so good for a long time.
Have any body a better idea?
Thank you

Is the only way to have AV use Playlists, I have to install Java? I'm on Mac
I do have the Java Script Plugin in Safari though. But when I try to add playlist, message comes asking if I want to install Java

Hi,
try this version
http://www.inmethod.com/forum/posts/list/5553.page
it doesn't have Java dependency.

Thanks and sorry. I forgot I was in Mavericks (Mac Developer). I get the Java message there.
I rebooted into 10.8.4 and Yes, Adding playlists worked in that OS - no Java.

It has a lower frame rate which means when playing an mkv with ac3via pass through the video is stuttering.
