I'm pleased to announce that new Air Video Server version is available.

You can download it for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.

Changes since last stable release
- Fixed conversion queue getting stuck
- Support for new features in Air Video 2.4.0

will the autoupdate funtion of the server download and install this automatically?

The autoupdate will be enabled for this release in few days. Right now you have to download and install it manually.

What are the new 2.4 features in the client?

Just based on the server settings, it doesn't look like the item asked for by most folks ("Parental Control") has been implemented yet.

Also, still no way to control the client's ability to create converted files (although at least now you can say where to store the file, so your library is not screwed up).

VOB support, just installed the 2.4 version and do not see VOB support...were you joking??

VOB files should be recognized. However only combined vob files will work. If they are split into 1GB chunks they won't.

If the vob files are not split they should still work. Some ripping tools merge the vobs.

I am confused. Where is the new server software. I changed the *.dmg to exe and then it would not run. Also, what is the best way to batch combine vob files?

Sorry, just saw that you changed the extension. So, can someone help with merging VOB files in a batch process?

DMG is the OS X version. There is an exe version for windows.
