Latest update will only play files already converted.

I've been using Air Video on my ipad for about a month now and it was my favorite app. A few days ago, I saw a notification in the app store that there was an upgrade, so I upgraded. Since that upgrade, Air Video will not stream anything other than m4v files. It will not even play, mp4 or mov files which are supposed to be ipad friendly. The Live conversion buffers for about 5 minutes, then the preview screen turns black and the sound plays, but no video. Is anyone else having this issue or just a ghost in my ipad?

Have you tried restarting your iPad? Also if you get sound and no video try to switch the video to fullscreen, it often helps

I have restarted the ipad a few times. and it won't let me enlarge it. I wish I could post a screen capture of it. I'll try to describe it as best I can. The preview screen goes black, and the bar that would appear at the top of the screen when you tap it to toggle through the movie, appears dead center of the preview. Once that appears, you can't enlarge it, pause it or even toggle through. It's very strange. But it only started happening after I updated. Before that it worked pretty flawlessly.

You can post a screenshot. Just hold menu and power button at the same time. Btw. The 2.2.4 update (latest in AppStore) has been out for months. (The new update is pending approval)

I just got the notification about the update. I don't often visit the app store directly from the ipad, but saw the circle with a 4 in it, and air video was one of the apps that it said needed upgrading. So my guess would be the version that was available from itunes about a month ago, was not this version. I'll try to get a screen cap out.

ok here's a screen capture. This time it didn't go black it left a still preview picture up but still left me unable to enlarge or control the video in any way other than exiting the program. Still just audio.

If you go to global settings which bitrates are enabled? This happens when only 64kbit/s bitrate is on.
