I've just bought the iPhone app and it's amazing, I can't believe I've never found this before.

I'm now wondering how I can get it to work at boarding school, where I don't have a router.

I have a Windows laptop and I have tried to connect the iPhone and laptop over ad hoc but I haven't got it to work.

If anyone had any ideas that would be great

Thanks so much.

Hi,

adhoc might work (if you have the IP addresses right) but you will need to specify the IP address of the computer on the iPhone directly.

Could you please explain how I find the IP address and what fields need to be filled in on the iPhone.

Thanks ever so much for your help.

EDIT: At the same time could I make a feature suggestion: Being able to easily play the "Last Video Watched" for when you have to quit the app and find the video again.

I can confirm that Ad-Hoc networks do work for air video. (You need a WIFI enabled PC / Or Mac?(maybe) ) All I did in windows 7 was:
1. press the Start Button on the keyboard, typed in "ad hoc" in the search bar, click on "create an ad hoc network" or whatever it said.
2. make the ad hoc network. (i found without a password worked a lot easier in accessing the network from my iphone)
3. Connect to the network with the iphone
4. Open air video and add a new server. The air video client found my air video server no problems. (I didnt have to enter any IPs).
