Man, this is a long list... didn't read all of them... maybe a repeat.

I would love to see a delete movie feature in the iPad app. I sometimes load up movies to watch while traveling, after, just want to delete it to free up space on the remote machine. Would be nice if the request would just drop in the queue, like the convert feature, may not want a large amount of movie deleting going on at one time. Guess, not important to me, a protect option, too, i.e., click it on a movie, and the movie can't be deleted remotely, i.e. the oops factor.

thanks.

Subtitles on/off per video would be awesome!
Even if it was in per video settings before playback.
Seems like it would be hard to do mid stream.

Another vote for itunes music library support, although I see it is planned.

Day 3 of ipad, you are the best app I have paid for.

I work for apple retail and look forward to showing this app off!

Hey, it's been said before, but I would really appreciate control over the screen brightness during playback.

Brand new user LOVING your app.

My first quick request would be the ability to organize/rename the list of things you are sharing from the server.

It is a little bit of a pain to have to add them in the order you want them (especially if you forget one) and also the directory names aren't always the best to key off of and can even create duplicates.

Thanks!

Brilliant application! My fastest purchasing decision on ipad.

I would like to support for music streaming also. I would like support for mp3, wma, and flac

Will the iPhone client be updated to support the enhanced resolution of the iPhone 4?
Specifically relaxing the Max. Resolution limit on videos from 640x480 to 960x640?

Feature reguest

most of the subtitles files are in TXT format (non english)
please add TXT support
to supported formats of subtitles
(not a big deal - but would make it really great app
for all non english users who relay on subtitles to watch movies

with best regards

great app

What exactly is "TXT" support? Air Video supports SRT, SSA, SUB(MicroDVD) and SMI textual subtitles.

http://forum.opensubtitles.org/viewtopic.php?t=305

a lot of txt subtitles can be found on www.napisy.info
they are Micro DVD with TXT extension

so it's only adding txt as another extension
which can be read by the program
(not another format)

The issue here is that TXT is also used for SRT subtitles. The extension is rather ambiguous.

There are already a few requests for this feature:

- Subtitles in different colors (i.e. yellow).

also, if we could increase the audio level, some movies are low so increase audio DB levels.

great program
regards.

Hi,

you're right. Just take into consideration that VLC supports TXT subtitles
(so maybe it's not a big deal)
if you have a collection of movies with TXT subtitles it makes things very easy

(still I don't know why thay don't have a proper extension, but that's how it is)

It's just a feature request which is easy to implement and will make a lot of
users very happy.
it's up to you, but I'm sure users of TXT files will love it.

great product. works excellent on ipad. keep the good work

Awsome app! Use it on 2 iPods and an iPad.

I have read every post in this thread and see my request asked several times with no response. If i missed the response, sorry for asking again.

I positively need the ability to password protect individual folders. I have children and the Ipad is a family device. I Keep catching the kids viewing age inapropriate content. Is there a reason why this crucial feature cannot be implemented? If you had a donate feature on your site, this feature would get an emediate donation when implemented. (Pls respond to this one)

Also I would like to add my vote for a pc and Mac client, and of course will pay for it. That kind of work deserves profit. Then I can use my Air Video server to stream to every device in my house. Have not seen a response to this repeated request either. Is there an issue with Apple preventing the development of a pc/Mac client? Or is it a distribution problem since you would have to take money directly from the customer?

**Disclaimer** WTF DO I KNOW?

It seems as if they are being inundated with a bunch of new feature requests. It's been said that the next version is in the works so im sure whatever has been decided to be added is being added. It seems that such features like this are an issue of man power. Generally software projects have various milestones, priorities to be included etc. It may not be in this one or the next. It also seems like there is a man-power issue. I think there are only 2 developers for the software. It would be nice if they used some sorta bug tracking software rather then this form for such issues / requests. Or hired a new developer and raised the price a bit. Make the service subscription based or something. I wrote a post last week or so outlining a plan for AirVid to become AirMedia and include a web client system and a bunch of other stuff. It was either deleted or no one read it.

I'd gladly pay whatever for such a solution. Audio streaming would be so so nice. When GIZMODO did a review of AirVideo the author actually wrote "But Air Video doesn't currently stream MP3s for reasons beyond my understanding, meaning your music collection is totally inaccessible." (Direct quote from http://gizmodo.com/5509710/streamtome-review-stream-music-and-videos-to-your-ipad )

We aren't the only ones asking for this.
