Hi. I bought your app yesterday. Got everything to work out of the box, very nice.

I have an iPhone 4 (running iOS 4.0.1) and I was wondering why max resolution is 640 x 480 px? I find this option under Global Conversion Settings on the app. Could a iPhone 4 max res option be added in near future?

iPhone 4 has a max resolution of 960 x 640 pixels on 326 ppi

Making it possible to stream directly from RAR archives... like more people already have mentioned. That would be just ACE!

Thanks for an already great application.

Stop it...
Just unRAR the shit. You seriously want to waste CPU / HDD power decompressing your archives instead of transcoding your vids? That's insane. I had to read that three times to realize "Wow, someone actually said that."

I request AirVideo makes me ice cream and chicken wings on demand. OHYAH!!!

My server has plenty of CPU power to spare... so I would love to have the option - and my RAR files are not compressed much, if compressed at all.

Then why bother compressing them? Transcoding video is one thing, live decompression (both read/write operations) + transcoding is another. I understand it is an option and not everyone would use it... but i fail to see any sort of logic behind managing your files this way never mind expecting software to accompany it.

You want to read a book without opening it first...

no, actually.

You want someone else to open the book and transcribe each sentence on a post-it note, then pass it to you one at a time for you to read.

Is it possible to have a feature where the video are convert on the computer instead of the iPad, so the iPad can be freed to do other things? Besides the computer is more power chip for converting files...than the iPad.

Videos are always converted on the computer. iPad only shows progress.

This mean I can completely switch off the iPad or watch another movie in it?

1) Would it be possible to "name" the servers rather than having to identify those accessed via the internet by IP address?

2) Could a single server entry contain both a "local" and "remote" address so it could be accessed from local network and Internet using only one server definition?

3) Would it be possible to front end and launch your app from another app (such as Movies HD) that is designed to be a movie/video catalog with sorting, filtering, etc so your app doesn't have too? (the developer of that app is already open to this idea and is willing to work with you).

One other idea, this one is for the server app: would it be possible to show a list of the current connections?

Showing videos at the native iPhone 4 resolution would be really nice - hope to see that in the next update!

Love the App. Works great and the vid quality over 3G is quite good.

I would also love to be able to watch my vids remotely on my laptop when I am traveling in China instead of using the iPhone but I realize right now the server is free and only the iphone app is paid. I'd pay for the access on the laptop as well. Is this feature available in any fashion?

Tnx
Bob
