Now that the new SDK came out.
I hope that you would look into the possibility of getting Air Video to use the full capability of iPad.
Can't wait to use it for watching Videos.

HOLY SHIT i was about to ask the same question. Can't wait for Air Video to be on the iPad, and with the latest wireless "N" (assuming you have the router for it, aka time capsule or airport extreme), it shouldn't be a problem streaming.

Sorry about the seeking. We were quite happy with the old seeking functionality, however it was preventing us from getting any updates approved. The seeking should work fine with firmware 3.1 except there is no seek to last position during TV out playback.

Air Video for iPad is one of the first things I thought of when I was following the announcement. It's gonna be killer. You'll have to do something with the UI, since it's such a huge screen! I'm not sure what you'll do to fill all that space, but maybe you can think of something.
This iPad is really cool, and I think the doubters don't see the bigger picture. You'll see. It will be a hit, even if it takes a couple models.

Ah well, at least for me TV Out is not as important on the iPad as on the iPhone/iPod touch since it's display is already so big (in comparison). I mean it would be nice if it would work, but... maybe with iPhone OS 4
And I don't think you should change too much for the iPad version. Real fullscreen support and maybe folders and video files side by side and a little bit more infos for each file displayed. I mean keep Air Video's GUI simple and I hope Apple won't break to much on the back end so we don't have to wait too long for the iPad version (although I'll be at least a month behind the curve since I want the 3G version and live in Europe which doesn't speed things up :-/ ).

Admin,
Regarding Apple's announcement that the iPad will be available on April 3, do you plan to have an iPad version of Air Video available on product launch?

Based upon a lack of response, I am guessing Air Video for iPad will not be available for sometime?

It's a bit tricky to say. It's being worked on, however I'm not sure it will be ready on April 3rd. Also it's a bit problematic to submit application to AppStore without being able to test it on real device.

Thanks for the reply. One last question, I am assuming the video resolution streamed to the iPad will be limited to 640x480 even though the iPad supports 1024x768?
I look forward to using Air Video on the iPad!

The limit will probably be increased, however it will be configurable. Not all computers are capable of live encoding 1024x768 video.

Great, thanks. What would you recommend at the minimum hardware requirement to stream 1024x768 video? My processor is an Intel Q9550 and I have 4GB of RAM installed. I also have over 100GB of free disk space.
