Air Video Server 2.2.5-beta1 released

I'm pleased to announce that new Air Video Server version is available.

You can download it for Mac OS X Leopard and Microsoft Windows.

This is a quick bugfix release improving various issues present in previous release
- enabled loop filter
- improved quality during playback over local network
- shorter interval for submitting status report when previous attempt failed

Do you plan to add music or photos to the air video. It would be cool and you would think easier than video to stream? I am no expert though. Just thought it would be cool. Make it an all in one media sensation. P.S. I just got it to work through the internet. Very excited. Thanks

It's something we definitely consider for future releases.

Any chance of going back to the multi-threaded ffmpeg?

Hard to say. There are still unresolved A/V sync issues. Maybe in future we can have an optional ffmpeg-mt build.

Amazing product, but i have 2 requests -

1. A desktop client
2. Music & picture support

I have been using an iPhone in one form or the other since it's inception and I must say without hesitation, this is the most useful app I've seen for it... Absolutely love air vid... Please continue to develop it and thank you. I have seen several others request a desktop client as well and I too would be interested in it. Most of my movie/music ripping occurs at home.. but it would be nice to access my videos from my work pc without having to burn them to discs... are there any plans for a desktop client? If not, what would it take to persuade you?

Still the best single app out there for the iphone... Kudos to the dev team!! -
