If someone can help me set up Air Video from scratch , will all the relevant commands, that would be really appreciated.

Hang in there with the linux CLI, it gets easier and soon you'll wonder how you ever did some things via mouse and keyboard.

Have you tried the Wiki? I can't find the link currently but know its in this forum somewhere. It should give you the commands, or get you close enough.

I would really love to see Linux support as windows/Mac support does me no goes as these systems of mine do not run 24/7. My Intel powered Synology NAS has been proven to be able to transcode HD video to iPhone clients, see my findings in other post.

High powered, x86 Linux based home servers are becoming much more common than before.

Really, really, REALLY needs a native linux server. Having to have a whole other machine just to run what should be a function of the media center server is more than a little frustrating.

Other than that this program is incredible.

But linux server.

I just wrote the admin a PM about releasing a download for a Linux server. Please urge to let him know that looking at website visitor statistics is definitely not an accurate way to measure the user base that uses Linux servers--after all, those users are using a normal desktop OS for viewing the web while their Linux server sits in a room waiting to serve content!

There is a Linux server. Check out this pinned thread. It works fine for me, and has for some time.
