Hello admin

I have Att uvers they do not support UPnP or NAT-PMP so I found the below in the forum but I am still getting URL Resolver Error Server is not reachable

is the below correct steps to connect over my loacal network?

your suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Go to the gateways settings
Click View the home network.
Then click edit firewall settings for the computer thats going to be used.
Put in the password thats located on a sticker on the gatteway itself.
Check off Allow individual application(s).
Then click on Add a new user-defined application.
Name the App Air Video.
Type the number 45631 in both From and To.
Then click add definition.
Now click back on Firewall Settings.
Select your computer again from the drop down box.
Make sure Allow individual application(s) is still checked and highlight Air Video, and
click add.
Now click done,
and restart your computer.
Once its up and running go to the Air Video app on your computer and add This Server Pin number to your iphone app and that should do it.

Hi,

if your router doesn't support UPnP or NAT PMP, you have to setup port forwarding in your router's web administration interface. The steps you have mentioned setup firewall rules, but not the port forwarding.

For more information about port forwarding in Air Video see
http://www.inmethod.com/air-video/connection-problems.html - section "No - the router does not support UPnP or the support is buggy".

Also the site http://portforward.com contains lot of information about port forwarding.

Hello Admin

thank you for the reply

I took a look at the link that you have provided below

looks like ATT forward their ports through the firewall interface which I have tried or am I missing something?

I have tried to use a different port other than 45631 and setting it TCP and UDP but no luck

is there anything else I can do?

your help is greatly appreciated

Hi,

I'm sorry but I have never seen the router personally so I'm not able to help you with it. Have you tried to find it in manual? Btw. you should only map TCP port. Do not set UDP port(s), it can cause problems in some cases.

Hello Admin

thank you for the advise on the UDP

I have turned off all of my firewalls and ran a port checker it tells me the port that I am using is open
but when I checked the host ip / port it only show air video nothing else Should this be?
I can see my computer on the phone application but when attempting to open it give me a communication error or server timeout

your thoughts

What response do you get when you click "Test Connection"?
Also, did you add your server to Air Video client using server PIN?

I have exactly the same problem. Not sure what to do. Pretty frustrating.

If you are sure the router is configured correctly the next thing that can go wrong is software firewall.

I'm pretty sure I've done everything correctly. I've been following the directions on this post: http://forums.wireless.att.com/t5/Features-and-How-To/Trying-to-use-Air-Video-for-iphone-keeps-asking-for-NAT-PMP-to/td-p/2317917 (which was echoed in this thread also). I suppose one thing that might be off is that I do not see a drop down. I have the option to select a computer and then it provides me with 8 different IP addresses. I'm pretty sure I've selected the correct IP address.

Please send the screenshot of port forwarding and remote support log to support (at) inmethod.com, I'll take a look at the forwarding.
