always buffering when watching video by 3G, it's annoying, does anyone know how to tune and get a higher speed?

The video format is probably wmv & rmvb.

If you watch videos using live conversion air video should chose the bitrate depending on available bandwidth. If it choses bitrates too high for smooth playback you can go to Conversion Settings -> Global Conversion settings and select bitrates that Air Video will be allowed to use.

Still, if you are getting lot of buffering it probably means that either you 3G download speed or home upload speed (quite frequent with aDSLs) is simply not fast enough.

Thanks!

Any useful tool/link for checking the upload & download speed in both iPhone & PC?

Besides, if the video file is converted, the video will be more smooth, right?

You can use http://www.speedtest.net/

For streaming over 3G you have to use live conversion. If you preconvert the video Air Video can't adjust the bitrate dynamically.
