Any plans to add functionality for Google ChromeCast?
Thanks.

Surely InMethod is aware of Chromecast; I'd patiently wait until after the long-awaited next major Air Video release to ask about possible plans for it or anything else.

Air Video 2.4.13 (iPad 2, iPhone 3GS [iOS 6.1.3]), Air Video Server 2.4.6-beta3u2 (Mac mini [Early 2009, OS X 10.8.4]), 802.11g/n WLAN

I am aware of the device, but haven't yet been able to have in-depth look at the API. As SJK mentioned, we need to finish the release first

I second the request for Chromecast. It would probably triple my use of Air Video.

I also second the chromecast support. I signed up for the forums just to put my support for Chromecast.
Great software, I've never had a problem. I use this constantly when I am traveling for work to watch my shows. Thank you.

i too signed up just now, to add my support for you hopefully someday supporting chromecast... your app has completely changed how people store their video collection and watch their videos stored at home from abroad... chromecast would be a much more compact unit to bring with you on the road than the appletv... i use airvideo between 2-4 hours a day... thank you for this app

I'm a huge AirVideo fan! I use this app almost everyday to watch movies on my phone at work. I would pay to have chromecast added to AirVideo! Please.

It's still unclear to me whether Chromecast supports streaming videos stored locally, except possibly doing it through Chrome. Is it technically possible for Air Video to stream locally stored videos via Chromecast?

Just a follow up, chromecast support will be tricky, at least at this stage. I still didn't receive the device, but from what I can tell the development is not open and only whitelisted devices can be used for development. To whitelist a device a public and stable receiver URL is needed, which is problematic for Air Video since the receiver URL would be neither public nor stable (it would be the computer running Air Video Server). If anyone knows more feel free to correct me.
