I used to run AVS on a windows XP PC until it dies. Bought windows 8. Installed AVS AND AVS HD on win 8. Now I cant get AVS to get a remote connection, but AVS HD CAN and is accessable to the outside internet. Any thoughts?

It is possible that the UPnP code in Air VIdeo HD is more robust. You could configure the port forwarding on router for the old Air Video (port 45631) manually.

Can you provide me with step by step instructions for this?

There are no step by step instruction because every router is different. However if you send me the Remote Support log from Air Video Server properties - Logs tab I can take a look.

Hi

so you need to forward TCP port 45631 to 192.168.0.17. This can be done in your router settings, however every router is configured differently. This website might help.
