TV Out won't work with iOS Firmware 4.0

I am running iOS 4 and have an application called oplayer which works fine with video out, why is it that air video doesnt support video out

Need to get more game developers to support video out. I'm going blind staring at that tiny screen for an hour or more

Anyone know if there is a performance hit for adding video out to apps? I'd love to be able to hookup a pocket projector to the iPhone and get a nice big screen like this guy did with a XBox and AAXA M1 projector

It seems that this functionality is still possible, I was able to use StreamtoMe with the TV out while on vacation in NC (I live in MI), but the quality of the conversion is nowhere NEAR as good as Air Video. Still, there are many that are hoping for a fix for this app! It's the best one out there.

As a side note, after trying StreamtoMe successfully with the TV out, I noticed an option that Air Video should have - I was able to get streamtome to go from one episode of a tv show immediately to the next without having to go back to the phone and navigate back to the menu and remember which episode would be next. SOmething to consider!

I bought this app with full intention of using the tvout function. Today I spent an outrageous amount on the Apple brand tv out cables only to find out that the feature that I purchased this app for, doesnt work. I want my money back. the features of why I bought it have changed. No different than buying a car, then the maker does an upgrade, but now the car wont go forward only in reverse.

I hope this is true. I Love air video to death for a big reason. I am a limo driver and I have a tv in the limo that I would use air video with because it works on 3g as well as wifi. I reccomended it to tons of clients freinds and family. When they find out about this I am screwed with them. Lets face it who can watch video on a 3 in screen. It gives me a headache

Dont feel too bad I bought 2 of them to use in 2 different cars. Yes i can watch video in my cars.

Everyone talks about stream to me. It seems in the latest version of itunes the app is gone.

I cant seem to find anything that will do what air video does. Streaming over 3g. I am rarely in a wifi area and need an app that does tv out and can stream from my pc to my 3GS with iOS4 over 3g

Can anyone direct me to something I can use. Damm Netflix why cant they do the iphone like the ipad and work over 3g. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sit for hours waiting for people (limo driver) and I have 5 TB of video at home.

NO it does not. I just installed the app and the video out does not work at all. I just tried it

In fact the software maker oliemsoft of oplayer said it only works on 3.2. I just got a response from them. 5 bucks down the toilet. Thanx dude

It's a stop gap solution for the tv out (though it only works through wifi, not 3g, but it does work over the internet, not just within your home network)...

Still hoping Air Video gets this taken care of, the streaming quality is superior!

It's down temporarily, it looks like. Here's a quote from their website:

StreamToMe is temporarily removed from the iTunes App Store.

Unfortunately, the 3.1 update to StreamToMe was approved with a serious crash bug. We have removed the application from sale while this issue is addressed — it will be returned to the App Store as soon as possible.
