I'm pleased to announce that new Air Video Server version is available.
You can download it for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.
This release contains improved iTunes support. Adding playlists should work now with iTunes 9.1 and iTunes launch is no longer required during browsing.

Bah. Continual request to upgrade Bonjour whenever run on Windows 7 64-bit. Updating Bonjour & ebooting doesn't help.
Downgrading.

Double bah. 2.2.5b2 installation also reports the same Bonjour error, so I can't downgrade. Is there a version of the setup that doesn't check Bonjour?
(am running iTunes 9.1.0.79, by the way)
Darren

Try 2.2.5 beta1.

The problem here is that the new bonjour version installer doesn't properly replace the old bonjour file from JVM folder. We'll try to find a workaround

Thanks for the speedy suggestion.
Sae dialog with 2.2.5b1 too, I'm afraid. Is there a command-line parameter that bypasses the Bonjour check, or is there a legacy Bonjour file I can rename while installing?

I'm afraid the check can not really be bypassed. You can try the following and let me know if it helps
locate the JRE directory (usually C:\Program Files\Java\JRE6
in the subfolder lib\ext delete the dns_sd.jar file (or move it away).
In your case it will probably in C:\Program Files (x86)

Worked perfectly; 2.2.6b1 now running (as you thought, it was in Program Files (x86)).
Is the file legacy, or might it be required for other things (that is, should I replace it and be prepared to rename it each time I start the server)?
And thank you again.

The file should have been replaced by bonjour update installation. It's probably bug in bonjour update, but we need to find a workaround for it anyway.

I got this same error when starting AirVideo Server after updating the apple software, with out rebooting, as the Installer ask for, after reboot, all ok, no need to do anything on my machine at least, who is running Windows 7 Enterprise, 64bit.

I don't mean to belittle this update in any way but I have everything working wonderfully since the last update - have there been any other improvements apart from itunes integration?

Nothing significant. The only important improvement is iTunes integration (that doesn't require iTunes running most of the time). However at this point it's not perfect yet, as it can't handle some cases when iTunes library is located in custom folder.
