Folks,

Just uninstalled Version 2.1.2 of the AirVideo Server with Outpost Firewall installed and noted that your removal application (Uninst.exe) generates a new, sequential, executable each time the firewall intervened during the removal process i.e. a file created during the removal process by AirVideoServer called au_.exe became bu_.exe became cu_.exe etc when Outpost Firewall blocked the process.

This executable renaming is odd behaviour for a removal process and something I would normally associate with something to be concerned about. Can you advise please?

Hi,

Air Video Server uses NSIS to create the installer/uninstaller program. The au_.exe, bu_.exe, etc files are harmless but certain too paranoid applications think it's malware.

Thank you for your prompt reply and good to know for future reference.
