me too, I would like to be alpha tester too.
I'm running a 4 core AMD cpu with 8GB memory, windows server 2008 r2, and I have the same problem
It seems to me that lowering output movie bitrate or size really doesn't matter. The size and quality of the source matters the most.

way to go! very nice. Finally support changing the size of subtitle font. I've tested and it works and it's absolutely beautiful. air video is the most useful tool I've ever bought and it's definitely under priced.
one little problem pls allow me to pointing out is that changing the font size doesn't immediately take effect, you have to shutdown the windows service and start it all over again to make the change work. is it some system limitation? or if we can have it without a service restart? I've tried
1. change the font size, restart the iphone client, doens't work
2. change the font size, restart the windows service, works

the 2.1.8 beta works perfectly except for sometimes the font size of the subtitle is too small. is it possible to fix that? or add a control at subtitle tab to allow us to change the font size
also, is it possible to add another tab to config audio settings like normalize audio output or maybe just simply boost the audio output. sometimes the audio track is so low that it can only barely be heard with iphone speaker
