sorry about that matt. should have checked your url. see how that might be helpful but still cumbersome having to be in front of the machine serving the video and be on a mac.
my media server is a windows machine and is a floor down from my ATV. sitting in front of my ATV with my ipad and using Air Video makes it easy to send the video to the tv. unfortunately, even with my jailbroken ipad and airvideoenabler it will not send video using live conversion (i have not tried already converted videos).
i can confirm that this does not work with the ipad. both AirVideoEnabler and AllPlay from cydia do not allow me to stream to ATV with Air Video. I get the spinning buffer for a few seconds and then just quits trying. i have not tried with my iphone 4 since i really do not want to jailbreak it.
this is using a "hack" that is not supported in the app store version of air video.
i was wondering if there will ever be a release of air video with this implemented for jailbroken ipads/iphones (until apple allows third-party apps to stream video). i have been a long customer of air video and would love to be able to properly stream air video to my apple tv. even if it was released on cydia as a "tweak" to an already installed (purchased) version of air video.
please inmethod, release this to your paying customers who really want to realize the full potential of air video.
i am having a similar problem with DTS except my videos play with a horrible "static" sound. my workflow is VID2EVA (http://www.vid2eva.com) keeping DTS and then converting to MPG with MKV2VOB (http://mkv2vob.com). i have even tried encoding 2 audio streams in my file but air video does not show the second audio stream (unless the encoding is really not keeping both streams like the settings are setup to do).
