I think it's for jumping backwards 30 seconds - to replay a scene. At least I think that's what happened when I tapped on it...

AppStore is a very tightly controlled environment. Unfortunately it has happened many times in AppStore that applications were forced to remove features because they didn't get approval from Apple.

Apple is a pain in the butt, for sure. If they didn't make such killer hardware....

Is the seek functionality the only thing that's changed due to Apple? I'm just about to hit the app store to upgrade....
Sounds like a good reason to avoid updating beyond 2.1.1. It's not my place to tell you how to write code, but I suggest you find a workaround quickly.

It's going to take a very compelling future update to cause me to upgrade beyond my current version. Upgrades should never reduce functionality - never!
Admin wrote:Thanks for the heads up. It will be fixed in next Air Video Server update.

Thanks...

I was running the latest non beta first thing this morning, then upgraded to 2.1.8 beta9r2 - and still had the problem. Just a little more FYI on the situation. In any case I'm now testing your latest beta...
OK - I've 'fixed' this by rolling back to the previous version. JRE 6 build 17 works just fine - build 18 prevents the server app from starting, on my machine.

Get the older build here...

Just a heads up in case some of you folks update Java, and have a train wreck instead...

/edit - btw, a great app. It's rare in this day and age to come across an app that does what it claims so well - keep up the great work!
The latest JRE update prevents AirVideo server from starting - I get an error stating "The Java VM is aborting..."

Airvideo will not start. The JRE I'm referring to was recently released, JRE 6 Update 18, available here.

I'm going to try and roll back my JRE to version 17, as it was working fine - damn you Sun!

Oh yes - this is on a XP system...
