Air Video Server 2.1.0 released

Works great. I hope the next release will start storing thumbnails on the hard drive. I currently have 5000 video files and having so many thumbnails in memory has caused problems for me. To the point where I have to reboot my box.

Re:Air Video Server 2.1.0 released
Hi,

we are aware of that problem and plan to fix it in next update. Although I'm really not sure why you had to reboot your box. Restarting Air Video Server didn't help?
So basically, my WIN XP SP3 computer was running the AirVideoServer-Setup210a1. One of your developers emailed me to test files with Unicode filenames. I had the server running for about 8 days straight and my computer started to have low resource issues. I couldn't open simple things like command prompt. I checked my task manager and saw that Air Video Server had memory usage had ballooned up around 228MBs. I killed the Air Video Server process and I still had issues running CMD. When I checked the event viewer i saw the following error message:
"Application popup: cmd.exe - Application Error : The application
failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate
the application.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."
After a reboot. The problem went away. This computer has been very stable and I never had an issue like this prior to installing your server. But I will admit that I have been running 2 new apps recently. A new version of WM Recorder and the new IMGBurn. I've worked with past versions of WM Recorder and have never had resource issues. Meaning I've run past versions of WM Recorder for months at a time and never had any memory leak issues. I know that this does not mean that the new version will suffer from a memory leak. And as for IMGBurn, I will admit is new to me. So what I'm going to do is run my box without Air Video Server for about 10 days. And have WM Recorder running and burn a lot of discs with IMGBurn (I have a lot to backup so that won't be a problem.) After 10 days if I don't see any problems then I will reboot my computer and then run Air Video Server for another 10 days. And see if there are problems. If there is a problem, I will report it back to you. If there isn't any issues, I will just assume my memory problem was a freak occurrence. In any case I will keep you guys posted.
