Audio is off sync after updating to latest server and app

Has anyone else had this problem? I can connect great to both my local network and 3G, but whenever i select a video and it starts to play, the audio starts a little earlier than the video causing it to become out of sync by about one second. It never used to do this before the updates.

I have exactly the same problem with syncing the sound when watching
the movie with live conversion. The sound is slightly out of sync by maybe
0.5s. It got better when I converted it. But still out of sync by 0.2s.

I don't think I had this problem before the update.

I have an 3GS, 3.1.2

Thanks for a really great app!

Pentry

Well, that is weird. Because if you played it later (just by tapping "Play", not "Play with live conversion") and the audio was out of sync it would be a bug in iPhone Media Player component. Something we have no control over :-|

The new server version 2.2.5 beta 2 has solved all three of my problems in one update!!!  1) Fixed the audio off sync issue (my biggest complaint) woo hoo!!javascript:emoticon('');
javascript:emoticon('');  2) Fixed some of my .avi's not playing (sweetness!!)  and 3) Fixed most of my thumbnails not showing up (not a big deal, but awesome none-the-less!) Again, i would like to thank you guys for solving these problems (at least for me! lol!) so quickly. I know that fixing bugs is just a normal thing to do when it comes to software, but you guys definately take the cake when it comes to speedy updates and responses to questions! Way to go! javascript:emoticon('');
javascript:emoticon('');

Re:Audio is off sync after updating to latest server and app

Hi, I'm getting a severe problem with audio out of sync with video. It seems the audio is "slower" and a "lower pitch". It can be out of sync by 5 seconds within the first 30 seconds.
The setup: MacBoo Pro on the server side, AirVideo 2.2.7u1. Using iPad on the client side. Live play, though the same thing happens after conversion. I download the NBC Nightly News podcast on the Mac and watch it on the iPad. I've tried multiple podcast videos and they all do the same. How to fix?

Re:Audio is off sync after updating to latest server and app

It's possible that there will always be an issue here. I have converted wtv files to mp4 with a number of products and played them on various windows machines in various players, and air-video streamed to my ipad. The audio is out of sync on all apple devices and in Quicktime player, but is in sync on all windows players (wtv, media plater etc.).

My solution is to use mcebuddy, and because it can take the wtv files to two formats in two different directories I'm converting to mp4 in one directory, and mp4 with an audio time shift in a second directory. I've not cracked this yet but think if I persevere with the delay I should get there. If I do then I'll post the mcebuddy conf file settings for the iPad.
